Using Our Study Guides for Group Study

Our Bible Study Guides are not only a great resource for individual study, but they also work wonderfully in group settings, such as small groups, Bible study circles, or any community gathering focused on growing together in the Word. When used in a group setting, our study guides foster deep, meaningful discussions and help participants apply Scripture collectively.

Here’s how you can use our study guides for group study:

Start with the Introduction & Part 1 – Begin your group study with the introduction to set the tone for your time together. This will provide the necessary context and open the door for initial reflections. After discussing the introduction, dive into Part 1 of the study guide. Encourage each group member to share their insights, ask questions, and reflect on the Scripture.
*Sometimes the Introductions are long enough to be a session by themselves.

Tackle Part 2 – After reflecting on Part 1, move into Part 2. As a group, explore the next set of questions and Scripture. Group settings are ideal for deeper conversations—encourage members to share their personal experiences and thoughts as they process the material. This helps create an atmosphere of learning and mutual growth.

Work through Part 3 – When you reach Part 3, continue to engage with the content in the same collaborative manner. Be open to diverse perspectives and allow space for everyone to contribute. The richness of group study comes from hearing others’ viewpoints and learning from their understanding of Scripture.

Study Part 4 – Part 4 will likely prompt additional insights and deeper questions. Use this time to reflect as a group on how the teachings from this section challenge or inspire each person. Group discussion allows you to collectively unpack the meaning of the Scripture and its application.

Conclude with Reflection – End your group study with the Conclusion section. Take time to reflect on everything that has been discussed, and ask the group to share their key takeaways. This is also a great time for prayer, as you all lift up the lessons learned and ask God how you can apply them in your daily lives.

Sometimes, there are reflection sections, case studies, commitment statements, etc. included in the studies. These can either be sessions by themselves or used with other sessions, or even moments of reflection for your members' personal devotion time.

By working through the study guide as a group, you allow everyone to contribute, support one another, and encourage deeper understanding through shared insights. Group study also provides accountability and fellowship, helping everyone stay engaged and connected as you grow in your faith together.

We encourage small groups and larger Bible study gatherings to use these guides to deepen your relationships with one another and with the Lord. By studying together, you not only learn from the Bible but also from each other, fostering spiritual growth and building a strong, supportive community.
