Our History 

The ministry began in 2007 when Sister Onita Spooner-Coran suggested that the church begin a curated Bible Reading Plan that the entire church could use to read the Bible together. Pastor Wilson liked the idea and gave his approval to begin the ministry. Sister Coran and Pastor Coran began working on plans for the church.

The first reading plan began as random verses that were randomly selected and had no consistent theme. After two years of these types of plans, Pastor Newton Coran, who also served on the committee, suggested that the plans be tied to the sermons that were being preached to the congregation. From that moment on, the plans were related to the sermons and sermon series preached to the congregation. The reading plans were added to the weekly programs, so that members could use them.

In 2011, the team grew from three part-time members to a full staff of 10 people. The ministry also began to create handouts to give to the church at the beginning of the month.

In 2019, the team began creating images for the memory verses, as well as pictures for each verse for members to download. At the end of 2020, the team began creating Bible Plans for Gratitude, Advent, and the New Year to help members who wanted plans for those specific moments.


The team continues to promote daily Bible Reading by creating curated Bible Reading plans that will help our members grow.
